Can I travel from Vienna to Budapest by ferry. I understand there is a hydrofoil service started recently. How do I make on line bookings?  Thanks George & Janet.

The hydrofoil, which takes about five and a half hours from Vienna to Budapest, operates Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can find more info about the service including online booking here.

Thanks Roberta - ferry info good but means we need to make adjustments to trip.  But we do get a long boat trip on the Danube.
