I’m going to Budapest and I’m wondering, how much is a metro ride? Which ticket should I buy?

In my opinion 3-day or 7-day (depending on how long you are planning to stay) tickets are the best value, valid on all public transportation, within Budapest and you don’t have to worry about validating it on each ride.

The 3-Day ticket is HUF 3,850 and the 7-Day ticket is HUF 4,600.

I agree that the passes are the easiest and best way to go. Just hop on and off as many times as you want. You never need to worry about having a ticket which makes getting around really convenient.
