WAMP (Wasárnapi Művész Piac, which translates to Sunday Design Market) follows the example of the London and New York design markets with its objective to establish a regular forum for contemporary Hungarian designers. It features more than 100 vendors who sell their creations in the shade of Erzsébet Square’s former bus depot. Clothes, jewelry, home décor, and much more are all part of the selection. WAMP is also a meeting place for creative and trendsetter young people.
Since its beginnings in 2006, WAMP is held once a month and it generates a great deal of interest from tourists and locals alike.
Getting to WAMP: From April to September WAMP is held on Erzsébet tér - Take any of the Subways (M1, M2 or M3) to Deák Ferenc tér and take the short walk over to Erzsébet tér. From October to March WAMP is held at Millenáris - Take Streetcar 4 or 6 to Széna tér and take the short walk over to Millenáris Park.
