Printa is a concept shop, a gallery, a studio and a café. The shop features everyday items, clothing and accessories, as well as recycled items by young, talented Hungarian designers. The gallery, producing limited edition prints, hosts exhibitions every other month to showcase its new work. These limited edition prints are then turned into t-shirts, cushions and aprons at their silkscreen studio.
Printa's clothing and accessory lines make perfect gifts. If you want to take away some unique mementos of your Budapest trip, check out their creatively designed Budapest t-shirts. Designs include Budapest’s bridges, greetings in Hungarian or for those truly unforgettable moments there is one with a list of Ruin Pubs in Budapest to remind you of your best night out or your worst hangover.
The coffee served at Printa is also worth a mention. While you won’t get the coffee house atmosphere Budapest is famously known for, your quest for the perfect cup of cappuccino might end right here in this design studio. The café brews direct trade coffee imported from the renowned Danish roaster, The Coffee Collective. It’s the only place in Budapest that serves filter coffee brewed by-the-cup, with French Press, Syphon or manual pour-over drip methods. If you are in luck their professionally trained barista will be on hand to create your perfect cup of java. Dare to ask him a question about coffee and you might be in for a long conversation along with some tips on where to enjoy the best coffee in your home town, be it Seattle, London or Copenhagen.
Free Wi-Fi is also available for browsing the Interwebs.
