Apacuka in Nagymező utca is a great mix of a café, restaurant, varieté and art exhibition. Housed in a historic Eclectic and Art Nouveau style building built between 1900 and 1903, Apacuka has a stylish interior with lots of contemporary art and a bit of an industrial feel - it used to be a telephone switchboard building.
The cuisine is French-Hungarian. An inexpensive prefix lunch menu is offered on weekdays (2-course for HUF 990 and 3-course for HUF 1,290). Apacuka is equally ideal for lunch, dinner, coffee or laid-back cocktails. The huge interior is divided into 3 floors. There is Jazz music in the evenings and various music programs with live bands and DJs performing on the weekends. The patio is the best place to be in the summertime.
Apacuka's other venue, a bistro-style restaurant, is located at Ráday utca 17.
