Located at the foot of Gellért Hill, this Art Nouveau style hotel has been an important landmark in Budapest for more than 80 years. The building also houses the world-famous Gellért Baths, offering indoor and outdoor bathing. Built between 1912 and 1918 and inspired by the Vienna Secession, the German Jugendstil, Art Nouveau from Belgium and France and traditional Hungarian designs like Zsolnay mosaics, the Gellért is the most photographed spa in Hungary. Hotel guests have free access to Gellért Baths through a private elevator in the building. Breakfast is included in most room rates.
There are two restaurants, a cafe and a lobby bar onsite. The Panorama Restaurant, and terrace with views of the Danube, serves Hungarian cuisine, along with gypsy music in the evenings. The Gellért Brasserie Restaurant provides a casual atmosphere along with a selection of Hungarian and international dishes and a wide range of draught, bottled and specialty beers. The Gellért Espresso offers a selection of homemade cakes and pastries and live piano music at tea time. For sports fans the Lobby Bar has a large-screen TV.
Spa & wellness facilities at the famous Gellért Baths include:

Location
The hotel is on the banks of the Danube at the Buda-end of Szabadság híd (Liberty bridge). Central Market Hall and the downtown pedestrian and shopping area is just a short walk across the bridge. For a coffee house experience try the nearby Hadik. Streetcars 19 and 49 stop in front of the hotel for easy access to the city center.
