The stylish, Continental Hotel Budapest (formerly Continental Hotel Zara) is located in the downtown area, close to many of the city's attractions and plenty of dining and entertainment options. The hotel, opened in 2010, blends art nouveau, art deco and modern design in a historic building that once housed the renowned Hungária Spa and the Continental Hotel. The historical facade of the original building was beautifully restored.
Designed with art deco features and parquet flooring, the 272 rooms at the Continental Hotel Budapest offer free Wi-Fi Internet access, LCD TVs, laptop-sized safes, individually controlled air-conditioning and seating areas. Buffet breakfast is included in the room rates. Restaurant options include the ARAZ Restaurant, Cocktail Bar & Lounge and the Gallery Café. The ARAZ Restaurant serves a wide selection of international dishes. The Gallery Café offers a selection of turn-of-the-century coffee specialties and the Cocktail Bar & Lounge mixes a wide selection of cocktails. In the summer, two courtyard terraces are available for dining Al Fresco.
The hotel's state-of-the-art wellness and fitness centre features a gym, an indoor pool (4x8m), Jacuzzi, Finnish & infra saunas and a range of massage treatments. Location and Things to Do
The Continental Hotel Budapest is located close to Blaha Lujza ter with plenty of entertainment and dining options. Subway line M2 and streetcars 4 and 6, running along the Grand Boulevard are just a short walk from the hotel. Many of Budapest's attractions are nearby. Visit the Great Synagogue and discover the former Jewish Quarter with its market and restaurants or party with the locals at one of Budapest's unique ruin pubs, like Corvintető, Szimpla Kert and Kuplung. For fine dining visit the award winning Fausto's Osteria close by.
