Budapest Panorama Central is centrally located between Astoria and Deák Square. The hotel is housed on the third floor of a 19th century building. Breakfast is included in the rate. Good for: location, spacious and clean rooms, friendly service

Hotel Central Basilica is located in the historical district next to the Basilica. Although it may not be as cheap as some of the other options listed here, we just had to mention it, as the hotel is in an excellent location and provides good value.

Hungary is well known for its cuisine and there are some great, undiscovered spots around the city for dining on a budget. If you plan to do some shopping while in Budapest there are plenty of markets, flea markets and shops you won’t find anywhere else.

Museums in Budapest are relatively cheap. During Museum Festival in May you can visit about 100 museums in Budapest for free. A visit to the famous Budapest Opera doesn’t cost much either, you can get good quality seats for as little as US $10.
It’s always good to check for travel deals and take advantage of off-season discounts. If you are flying to Budapest consider booking a flight and hotel together in a package as this can save you some extra bucks.
