Budapest's new winter gastro festival in Erzsébet tér
Budapest hosts a number of lively winter festivals to warm up your spirit and Gőzölgő, the city's new winter gastro festival in Erzsébet tér, promises to be a party. Steaming (gőzölgő) hot drinks and concerts await visitors to Budapest's latest festival addition hosted by Akvárium Klub.
To keep you warm, Gőzölgő Festival will offer over one hundred tea and coffee specialties, a selection of hot chocolates, tasty corettos with shots of pálinka, grog, mulled wine, heart-warming pálinkas and plenty of music. The vendors include some of Budapest's most popular coffee houses, restaurants and wine bars with their steaming drink creations, as well as street vendors serving kürtőskalács and other delicacies.
There will also be special barista demonstrations in the afternoons from 4 pm to 6 pm and live music in the evenings. Performances will include Rotfront, a band from Berlin, on day 1, and the Erik Sumo Band, The Moog, Amber Smith and Zombie Girlfriend concerts on the following days.
Entrance to Gőzölgő Festival is free during the day and the following admission fees apply to evening concerts:
Thursday, February 23rd, 2012 concerts HUF 1,500
Friday, February 24th, 2012 concerts HUF 1,200
Saturday, February 25th, 2012 HUF 1,500
The vendors are open from noon to 10 pm daily.
