The annual Fridge Festival, held in Budapest's City Park, features renowned international snowboarders and freestyle skiers competing for the Fridge title. They come from all over the world to show off their jumps from a ten-storey high ramp, covered with 200 tones of snow made just for the event. The competition kicks off with the snowboarders on Friday, followed by the freestyle skiers on Saturday.
Fridge Festival also brings a mix of electronic music with various bands from Europe and the US performing on three stages during the event. Ice-skating, skating lessons, hockey matches, a winter market with mulled wine and pálinka are all part of the Fridge festivities.
