Art Nouveau flourished in Budapest at the turn of the 20th century. Many buildings were commissioned in this style and Hungary had its own masters. On June 18th, July 9th and 30th, August 20th and September 10th Budapest Underguide offers free guided tours that take you to some of the most beautiful Art Nouveau buildings of the city.
The two-hour Classical Art Nouveau Walks start at 10:00 am. Meeting place for June 18th and July 9th is at Ferenciek tere in front of of the Franciscan Church. Meeting place for July 30th, August 20th and September 10th is at the Vörösmarty utca station of the Millennium Underground (direction Oktogon), on the street, by the entrance.
The event, organized by Hungarofest in collaboration with Budapest Underguide, is free for everyone. Due to the popularity of the program registration is required as space is limited.
