Celebrate the cherry blossom season in Budapest. In 2013, the annual Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Festival at the Füvészkert Botanical Gardens is held on the weekends of Apr 13-14 and Apr 20-21. Guest of honor and patron of the Sakura Festival is the Japanese Ambassador. Visitors can spend a weekend celebrating traditional Japanese art and culture, including origami and calligraphy exhibitions. Authentic Japanese tea will be served and there will be plenty of kids programs to keep the little ones entertained.
