The Budapest Art Fair focuses on modern and contemporary art. It’s an exhibition and an art fair held every fall at the Kunsthalle in Heroes’ Square. Many of the paintings, graphics and sculptures exhibited are also available for sale.
In focus: Contemporary and Modern
Budapest Art Fair features the best Hungarian galleries, along with international artists from cities like Paris and London. Following the art fairs of Berlin, Strasbourg, Hong Kong and New York, artists will meet in Budapest during a four-day event to showcase their works, photos, paintings, sculptures and videos. Similar to prior years the main venue of the art fair will be the Kunsthalle. In addition the Museum of Ethnography will host the Antique Interior exhibition from December 2-5, featuring antique furniture, porcelain and jewelery.
The age of optimism – Rodchenko and his contemporaries
Budapest Art Fair will also feature eighty photos made in the 1920’s and 1930’s by Rodochenko, the famous Russian photographer.
Late opening hours, round-table discussions and one-to-one meetings with artists make Budapest Art Fair a great experience. For more info on programs and opening hours visit budapestartfair.com.
