Brought to you by the people behind award winning Budapest restaurants such as 21 and Pierrot, Spíler is a favorite with locals. This 'bistropub', located in downtown Budapest within the historic Gozsdu Courtyard, offers delicious pub fare and drinks, funky décor and a roster of DJs. Open for lunch and dinner, the menu lists a variety of hamburgers, grilled sausages and potato skins, baked to a crisp and topped with freshly made sauces, as well as Hungarian classics, like goulash and stuffed cabbage. A traditional food to try here is 'Kenyérlángos', a Hungarian specialty similar to pizza, that comes with a selection of toppings (priced between HUF 1,300 and HUF 2,000). The list of locally brewed craft beers is also impressive. Expect a full house on weekends.
