The Museum of Music History (Zenetörténeti Múzeum) tells the story of music through exhibitions, recitals and concerts. The emphasis on Hungarian music, which is rich in folk traditions and covers a wide spectrum from the rhapsodies of Liszt and the compositions of Bartók and Kodály to Hungarian gipsy music. 

Getting to the Museum of Music History: The museum is located on Castle Hill. Take the Funicular from Chain Bridge; the public bus, called Várbusz, from Széll Kálmán tér (formerly Moszkva tér) or one of the many paths leading up to Castle Hill.

Tuesday - Sunday: 10 am to 4 pm

Entrance fees:
Adult: HUF 600
Child, student & senior: HUF 200
