Why visit: Jewish heritage, Great Synagogue

Getting there: Take subway (M2) or streetcar 47 or 49 to Astoria, which is the nearest station

The Jewish Museum was constructed on the site where Theodor Herzl's house once stood. Adjacent to the Great Synagogue, this museum features Jewish traditions and costumes, as well as the History of Hungarian Jews, including the Holocaust.

When visiting the Synagogue you will have access to the Jewish Museum, the Heroes' Temple and the Jewish Cemetery too.

Opening hours:
Sunday - Thursday: 10 am to 6 pm
Friday: 10 am to 4:30 pm

Entrance fees:
Adult: HUF 2,000
Student & senior: HUF 850
Guided tours are available.
