There is soccer fever all over, as people everywhere are tuned in to watch the World Cup. Soccer fans will be happy to know that they can cheer on their team at several pubs, bars and open air locations in Budapest. Grab a seat in front of a big-screen to take in the world's most popular sporting spectacle at one of the following locations.

Belvárosi Foci Mozi - Szabadság tér, District 5
Our top pick is the Belvárosi Foci Mozi in Szabadság tér where games are shown on a huge LED screen. There is room for 5,000 fans, so you are guaranteed a great atmosphere while you immerse yourself in the game. All matches are shown live, except the ones that begin after midnight (Budapest time), these are shown the next day. You can grab a drink, have a lángos or a burger and enjoy free wifi.

Akvárium - Erzsébet tér, District 5
At Akvárium games are shown on big LED screens, both indoors and outdoors, daily until midnight. After midnight, matches are shown indoors only. They offer drink specials and other entertainment, like replaying your favorite games on Xbox.

Champs Sziget - Margaret Island
The open-air Champs pub on Margaret Island brings the world cup atmosphere to life on a big screen as well as 20 smaller screens. Every game can be viewed live at Champs Sziget.

Budapest Park - Soroksári út, District 9
Budapest Park features a beer garden with large LED screens, open for all matches. Fans can enjoy drink specials (plus-size brews) and select bites from a world cup menu.

Corvintető - Blaha Lujza tér, District 8
Fans create an electric atmosphere for every game at Corvintető rooftop bar. Matches are shown from 6pm, space is limited to 300 people, so be sure to make a reservation.

If you want to watch the games outdoors, you can also head to Millenáris Park, Kertem, Wndrlnd, Holdudvar, Barba Negra (on the Buda side of Rákóczi Bridge), the Sky Terrace of the Corinthia Hotel or the Czech Beer Festival (in Városháza Park).
