Since its release last December, Hungary's new promotional video has been viewed over 400k times on YouTube. Hungary unveiled the 7-minute short film just before it took on the presidency of the Council of the European Union. The video is called "Hungary - World of Potentials" and it tells the story of a young couple discovering Hungary, interwoven with Hungarian inventions.
Commissioned by the Hungarian Government, the video was written and directed by award-winning and internationally recognized short film director Isti Madarász and produced by AERA. It follows in the footsteps of an earlier Budapest clip created by Madarász called "Budapest Business Region - Get Engaged". The 2009 clip, originally created for a trade show, became a hit after it went viral catching the attention of a much wider audience.
To date, the two video clips have been viewed over 1.7 million times on YouTube. Check them out:
