Danube Flood 2013 in Pictures

For the past few days Budapest's top attraction has been the Danube (Duna). Many cities throughout Europe have been hit recently with severe flooding due to record-breaking water levels. High water on the Danube is already affecting Budapest, some roads are closed, the metro doesn't stop at Battyhány tér and Margaret Island has been evacuated. Even though the water level hasn't reached its peak yet, it's already at record highs. According to the latest news, the Danube is expected to peak in Budapest on Monday, June 10th. I have been taking photos for a few days now to record the floodwaters.

Important notice: There are traffic changes in effect due to the floodwaters. Info in English with the latest updates is available at the Budapest Transport Company's website.
