I love outdoor dining and fortunately many restaurants, bars and cafés in Budapest offer some form of outdoor space. From beautiful gardens in the Buda hills to sun-drenched patios on downtown sidewalks and squares, there are plenty of ways to enjoy open-air dining.
Most restaurants on and around Liszt Ferenc tér, Ráday utca, Mikszáth tér, Váci utca and the Danube Promenade have impressive outdoor dining spaces. Some offer ample opportunity for people-watching, while others are great for a romantic escape under the sun. Here are some of Budapest's best spots for outdoor drinking and dining:
