Great News: Budapest’s 4th subway line opens to the public on March 28, 2014. Metro 4 offers a modern, fast and convenient commute between Buda and Pest. Currently phase one is complete with 10 stops, connecting Kelenföldi Train Station in Buda with Keleti Train Station in Pest. The entire route will be 12.7 km (7.9 miles) long with 16 stops. To celebrate the opening of the new line passengers can ride free until midnight March 30, 2014.

Metro stations open along line M4:

  • Kelenföldi pályaudvar
  • Bikás park
  • Újbuda-központ
  • Móricz Zsigmond körtér
  • Szent Gellért tér
  • Fővám tér
  • Kálvin tér (transit to M3)
  • Rákóczi tér
  • II. János Pál tér
  • Keleti pályaudvar (transit to M2)
