Are you afraid of clowns?

Located within City Park, the Municipal Circus (Fővárosi Nagycirkusz) traces its origins back to 1783. This is a traditional circus, with clowns, animals, jugglers, acrobats, and so on. It is open year-round.

Budapest's Municipal Circus hosts the International Circus Festival every other year in February.

Getting to the Municipal Circus: Take the Millennium Underground (M1) to City Park, Széchenyi fürdő station

Schedule:
Wednesday &Thursday: performances start at 5 pm
Friday & Saturday: performances start at 3 pm and at 7 pm
Sunday: performances start at 11 am and at 3 pm

Ticket prices:
Prices range from HUF 2,000 to HUF 2,800

    Great for all ages - many different programs during the year. I’ve seen “traditional circus”, visit from the Chinese Circus and the 125th Anniversary show in my visits during the years. Always professional artists.
