Retro Budapest Tour Details
Once upon a time, in the 60s, 70s and the 80s, Hungary was the 'happiest barrack' in the Eastern Block. Today, the remains of socialism and 'Stalin Baroque' are scattered throughout the city. This tour features the 'Retro' hot spots in Budapest while giving an insight into Hungary's recent past. It will take you back in time into a world of neon signs, red stars and bakelite records, an era when cafés were called 'Presszó' and art was either 'accepted, tolerated or forbidden'.
